ENVIANCE LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE TO SIMPLIFY ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE FOR BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY

San Diego, CA… Enviance announced today the launch of a new business to business website that will revolutionize the environmental compliance tasks of businesses nationwide. The burden of environmental compliance costs U.S. businesses more than $186.5 billion dollars annually. Enviance has now launched the first of a series of Internet tools that will help businesses, large and small, reduce the cost of, and time required for, environmental compliance. Through the Enviance platform, businesses will be able to complete forms, manage environmental data, acquire services, and obtain and exchange information, all in a secure and private workspace.

The Enviance website, www.enviance.com, offers California businesses the ability to access, complete, file and store the Annual Storm Water Discharge Report required by the State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB). The SWRCB receives tens of thousands of paper reports from California businesses each year. The water form is the first of a comprehensive set of forms that Enviance is developing and intends to make available to its business customers.

Businesses can register with Enviance to create a secure, company-specific profile and workspace within the Enviance site. Through this workspace, the business can locate and obtain access to the environmental reports required for their business and utilize multi-session, multi-user functionality for report completion. Members of the Enviance community receive timely reminders of upcoming deadlines, and reports can be electronically submitted to the required public agencies through special filing arrangements secured by Enviance. Each business using the service will receive electronic confirmation that the required report was received and accepted by the agency.

"We are excited to launch Enviance as a new business resource which empowers businesses to dramatically cut the costs incurred in, and the time required for, effective environmental compliance," said Larry Goldenhersh, CEO of Enviance. "Saving time and money while, at the same time, preserving or improving the quality of environmental compliance activities are important objectives for businesses of all sizes, from small business concerns like the local dry cleaner or gas station to large, multinational corporations in the chemical and petrochemical industry. Through creative, industry-tailored management of the power of the Internet, Enviance empowers business to improve the bottom line by reducing a cost item that has successfully resisted reduction over the years."

According to Goldenhersh, Enviance has been in the planning and development stages for the last year. Goldenhersh assembled a team of professionals with experience in environmental compliance, health and safety, and systems engineering, to assemble a nationwide database of environmental regulations and required forms. Initially the Enviance team focused on the California environmental marketplace, which represents $28 billion annually in spending for environmental compliance. The Enviance applications will allow a business to search for required environmental forms through a variety of search methods, including environmental media, chemical, process and reporting agency. Once the forms are identified, they will be accessed through an online library. Many of the forms will be eligible for online preparation and storage as well as direct filing through the Enviance online form-filing center. Enviance has plans to expand their online form filing capacities to other regional, state and national agencies in the months ahead.

"The Enviance.com web based system for environmental compliance offers businesses, government agencies and consultants an opportunity to manage compliance activities with a dramatic increase in efficiency," said Matthew Sutton, Senior Vice President with Levine-Fricke, an international environmental consulting firm and an Enviance co-founder. "That means substantially reduced compliance costs for industry and government, and increased environmental protection for the communities in which we live and work."

Enviance services are available to both large and small businesses through easy online registration that establishes an individual account profile and secure workspace where a company can manage its entire environmental reporting system in one location. For a small business owner, environmental regulations are a serious burden and significant cost of doing business. With the Enviance family of services, a small business owner can quickly identify environmental regulations and easily meet all reporting requirements through a simple web-based toolkit.

Large businesses, from utilities to chemical companies, can also make use of the sophisticated Enviance database and compliance filing system to centralize and streamline their existing environmental compliance operations. Enviance has incorporated the most advanced security systems into the site architecture to ensure that all client data is secure from intrusion or tampering. Enviance has developed a fee for service approach that will make filing and other services affordable to small business and cost effective for large companies as well.

Enviance is a privately held corporation founded by Larry Goldenhersh in October 1999. Goldenhersh was a partner in a major California firm, where his practice areas included environmental litigation and intellectual property litigation. Enviance received $1 million of start-up financing in February and has closed second round financing set to fund in August.
