ENVIANCE STREAMLINES TOXIC RELEASE INVENTORY TOOL WITH ENVIRONMENTAL ERP SOFTWARE FOR AMPLIFIED AND EFFICIENT COMPLIANCE REPORTING
Toxic Release Inventory Data Management and Reporting Automation Reduces Costs While Satisfying US EPA Regulatory Requirements

CARLSBAD, CA—Enviance, Inc., a global provider of Environmental ERP solutions that measure, manage, report and reduce environmental and regulatory risks, announced today that its Enviance TRI Reporter, a Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Compliance Management Software tool, was used to automate and submit more than 1,000 Form R Reports across 93 separate facilities for major industrial clients. The Enviance TRI Reporter ensures accurate reporting and compliance by seamlessly capturing and processing data with a push of a button, saving significant time and costs.

Enviance’s cloud-based TRI solution eliminates the need to download, install or manage any software, and provides guidance and customized company-specific information to effortlessly generate a reliable report in no time. Emissions data calculations can be standardized and consolidated into a single, integrated solution where compliance managers only need to enter environmental release data once, eliminating duplicate data entry and transcriptional error. The Enviance TRI solution is frequently updated to remain consistent with current reporting requirements, including the EPA’s latest compliance mandates released on May 14, 2010.

“Every year, we must complete between 340 to 360 forms in order to report TRI numbers for our 20 facilities,” said Mike Bayes, senior engineer, air quality services at American Electric Power. “Enviance’s tool automatically populates much of the TRI report directly from the air and waste data already maintained for permit compliance purposes in the Enviance centralized database. This auto-population of the TRI report significantly reduces the data entry and calculation requirements across our facility base, cutting weeks off of the TRI reporting process and saving us tens of thousands of dollars in personnel time. And because the TRI is populated directly from Enviance’s centralized database we have eliminated the transcription risk associated with moving data from one system to another and can assure that our TRI calculations are completely substantiated by the underlying air and waste compliance data.”

Enforced by the US EPA, the SARA 313 Form R Reporting requires that industrial facilities collect data and report on certain toxic chemical emissions and waste management activities by July 1 of each year. TRI is applicable to approximately 650 chemicals that exceed threshold levels, which facilities must report in Form R provided by the EPA. While the EPA does not accept input from third party sites, Enviance’s TRI compliance management software calculates the thresholds and the emissions data required, automatically creating and populating Form R that the user can upload directly to the EPA website.
