Top Session to See at 2019 National Ergonomics Conference and ErgoExpo

A headshot of Shari with text about sessions to see at ErgoExpoWith the 2019 National Ergonomics Conference and ErgoExpo just weeks away, it’s time to start filling your calendar with some of the show’s can’t-miss educational sessions. While the ErgoExpo has so many great events in the lineup, we’re especially looking forward to hearing Shari Arribere, global ergonomic program manager for VMware, discuss how to start a global ergonomics program and see it through completion in her highly anticipated session, “'End to End’ Implementation of a Global Ergonomics Program."

Recently, Shari coordinated the rollout and full implementation of a global ergonomics program spanning 58 countries and encompassing 33,000 employees. After launching such an exhaustive ergonomic program, Shari knows what it takes to pull off a massive undertaking.

In the early stages, Shari will outline everything you need to set up your office ergonomics program for success. This includes how to locate vendors, develop an ergonomic corporate standard, market the program, and create a master base for all the locations, providers, and headcounts you’ll need. Additionally, Shari will review what you need to kick-off your office ergonomics program, such as conducting inventory, providing ongoing training, tracking productivity, and identifying early red flags.

Once an ergonomics programs is up and running, Shari will offer strategies for creating a work culture that embraces office ergonomics, securing management buy-in, and scaling up the program for further growth.

During her ErgoExpo session, Shari will also discuss ergonomic solutions that made the biggest impact in VMware’s program, such as Enviance’s OES and RSIGuard. Enviance’s OES helped Shari efficiently manage the ergonomics program while RSIGuard provided behavior-based safety tools directly to VMware employees to better monitor their working habits to reduce repetitive strain injuries. You’ll hear all about how you can implement these programs and why they drive better ergonomic outcomes.

Does this sound like something you’d like to put on your agenda at ErgoExpo? Here are all the logistical details you need.
